Installation, Care & Maintenance Guide

Best practices to ensure maximum performance and longevity of your premium FRP planters in Indian conditions.

Installation Best Practices

  1. Position on a level, stable surface with adequate drainage below.
  2. For rooftops/terraces: Confirm structural capacity for saturated weight.
  3. Ensure drainage holes are clear and consider adding a drainage layer (gravel or mesh).
  4. For tall or exposed planters: Use hidden anchoring points where wind uplift is a concern.
  5. Use high-quality potting mix suited to the plants and climate zone.

Ongoing Care & Maintenance

  • Wipe surfaces periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspect drainage holes seasonally, especially before monsoon.
  • In coastal areas, occasional fresh water rinse helps remove salt deposits.
  • No sealing or special coatings required — the gelcoat provides long-term protection.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
• Overfilling with heavy soil without drainage layer
• Placing directly on surfaces without airflow/drainage
• Using harsh chemical cleaners
• Ignoring wind anchoring on exposed rooftops
